Fortress Investment Group is an Investment Manager founded in 1998 by Randal Nardone, Wesley R, Eden, and Rob Kauffman. Fortress Investment Group was the first significant private equity firm to be publicly traded in the United States after its launch in 2007.

The firm’s headquarter offices are located in New York, with subsidiary offices in Los Angeles, Singapore, Philadelphia, Italy, and Hong Kong. The firm has been acknowledged by Institutional Investor as Hedge Fund Manager of the Year in 2014 and Credit Focused Fund of the year in 2010 and 2011 consecutively.
